Pastor Gary
Gary Petersen serves as Senior Pastor and Worship Leader of First Church of the Open Bible. He is a licensed and ordained minister for nearly 30 years with Open Bible Churches. Gary and his wife Angella enjoy ministering at First Church of the Open Bible since they moved here in 1998. Prior to moving to Dayton he was the senior pastor of Open Bible Christian Center in Oregon for 8 years. In addition he served on staff for several years both as an associate pastor and youth pastor in Iowa, Ohio and California.
Other ministry experience includes: served on the Open Bible Eastern Region Board, the National Board of Open Bible Churches, and served as the Praise & Worship Leader for the Open Bible National Convention in 2005. He also served as the Chairman of the Board at Canyonville Christian Academy in Canyonville, Oregon, in the mid-90′s.
Gary and Angella have been married for 37 years. They have four grown children who are all serving the Lord, and are blessed with 11 grandchildren. To learn more about Gary come visit our services on Sundays at 10:30am or Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
